How i do love punching a project in the guts - this is the before photo and we cant wait to show the afters........ The guys at Beyond Skate ( beyondskate.com.au ) have continued to support the skate scene in Perth in such a unique way and they've been doing since 2001. We teamed up with them and our good friends at Skate Sculpture ( skatesculpture.com.au ) to drop a new retail store and skate park in a suburban shopping centre...... thats right a suburban shopping centre - Westfields Whitford City in Hillarys in fact. We kept it stripped back, raw and very un-shop-fitty if you know what i mean....

The team at Scentre Group have a very courageous attitude to the future of large retail and they we're the catalyst for this projects inception - pursuing substance over profit for a long term vision and the future of 'shopping centres' to get traffic off the clickety click internet shopping and back into their centres - even for a brief moment. This skate shop / skate park attempts to do that - an experience, not just shopping.
